Tropical Soda Islands (3)

Tropical Soda Islands is a permanent game mode that was first introduced in the Tropical Soda Islands update (v1.6) and expanded in the Soda Island Outlaws update (v1.8). In this mode, players explore a vast archipelago and liberate islands from the Durianeer pirates, earning both initial clear rewards from finishing Stages and a steady idle influx of supplementary rewards.

It is unlocked once a player rebuilds the Soda Harbor in their Kingdom, which can only be accessed once the land adjacent to the ruined dock is cleared.

Overview[]

Initially, the map will be covered entirely by clouds. Each Clouded Area of the map must be explored using Map Fragments and Caramel Spyglasses, or Sea Rarities, which will permanently open that region and reveal either an island or a Treasure Chest. Treasure Chests contain a predetermined group of rewards while islands contain Durianeers or other enemies to fight.

Tropical Soda Islands (19)

Certain Clouded Areas will appear to hold a glass bottle even before being fully explored; these Areas contain Rainbow Soda Islands. While the initial Rainbow Soda Island, which is also the first island overall, is activated for free, all following Rainbow Soda Islands must be activated using Sea Rarities. Activating certain numbers of Rainbow Soda Islands will allow a player to explore the Tropical Soda Islands further and further. Rainbow Soda Islands do not contain Stages to clear.

The layout of the Tropical Soda Islands map is randomized and will differ amongst users.

Island Battles[]

Tropical Soda Islands (53)

When an island is revealed, players can choose to field a team of Cookies to battle the enemies found on that island. These Stages are about twice the length of a World Exploration Stage and are primarily composed of enemies exclusive to the Tropical Soda Islands. Each island has its own unique enemy wave order, which is retained when the island is recaptured by pirates.

If a Cookie team is defeated in the middle of the Stage, the player retains their progress on that island. Fielding another team of Cookies will begin the battle where the player last left off, except that the last wave of enemies will be fully revived. Island progress will not be saved if the player surrenders or quits the game during a battle.

If a Cookie is defeated in a Tropical Soda Island battle, they will become soggy and will not be able to participate in battles in the Tropical Soda Islands until they have been dried on a Sunbed. This condition applies to a knocked-out Cookie even if the rest of their team is ultimately successful in liberating an island.

Sunbeds[]

Tropical Soda Islands (54)

Cookies knocked out in the middle of a battle become soggy and must use a Sunbed back on the first Rainbow Soda Island to dry off before being able to battle in the Islands again. Sunbeds are located at the first island available to players with only five Cookies being able to sunbathe at a time while a queue of any number of Cookies can form behind them to wait for their turns to sunbathe. Cookies will take a number of hours to dry based on the difficulty of the island or boss that defeated them, with higher difficulties requiring more hours to dry off.

Villages[]

Upon fully clearing an island of enemies, the island's village becomes liberated. Each liberated village produces rewards based on the island's type, with Coconut Islands producing Coins, Mangosteen Islands producing Star Jellies, Pineapple Islands producing Stamina Jellies, and Watermelon Islands producing Crystals. All rewards produced are delivered to the Kingdom every 8 hours.

Pirates may recapture an island after a certain amount of time has passed since the island's liberation, which will stop its rewards from being generated and added to the final reward delivery until the island is liberated again.

Achievement Rewards[]

Upon unlocking the Tropical Soda Islands game mode, an Event (simply titled "Tropical Soda Islands") will activate. This Event tracks the player's progress through the game mode by counting how many Clouded Areas they have cleared and giving rewards intermittently for such. Clearing certain amounts of Clouded Areas also unlocks segments of the Tropical Soda Islands Story alongside giving item rewards.

The Event will disappear once the final reward from clearing 120 Clouded Areas is claimed.
